AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS:    Solutions of Bleached Shellac in basic aqueous media are readily obtainable up to a solid content of approx. 30%.

SOLUTIONS IN ORGANIC SOLVENTS:
EXL - BLEACHED SHELLAC is readily soluble in low-molecular weight alcohol (e.g. ethanol, n-andiso-propanol) and some glycol derivatives (e.g. propyl glycol, butyl glycol), in bensyl alcohol and others.

MAJOR APPLICATIONS:
Wood coatings and glazes, flexographic printing inks, India inks, hat proofing, hair sprays, mould-release agents, leather finishing, fruit and confectionery coatings, raw material for Shellac special products.

STORAGE / TRANSPORTATION:
The shelf life of Bleached Shellac will be more than 6 months if stored or transported at temperature <20 C. Higher temperature will accelerate aging of the solid material and raise the risk of “blocking” especially under the influence of humidity.

FORM OF DELIVERY:     Powder.

PACKING:    Multiwall paper bag of 25 kgs. Net weight.

QUALITY ASSURANCE:     Certificates of Analysis are attached to deliveries of EXL shellac products of container load, for smaller quantities, Certificates are available upon request.
